Careers with Dales Engineering ServicesWorking With Experienced Professionals
At Dales Engineering Services Ltd we pride ourselves in our Apprenticeship scheme. We follow the Modern Apprenticeship scheme that is approved by Skills Development Scotland and delivered by North East Scotland College (NESCOL). Over the course of the 4 year Apprenticeship, trainees will gain the skills, knowledge and qualifications they need to start a career in engineering and fabrication.
For the first year, apprentices are full time at college, with the second year being day release at college and more site based. During years 3 and 4 all training is site based, with independent assessments being carried out by NESCOL assessors. On successful completion of the scheme, apprentices are awarded an SCQF Level 6 Diploma in Engineering, and NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma, and Modern Apprenticeship certificate.
Since introducing our apprenticeships in 1990, over 100 candidates have successfully completed the scheme, and many have stayed with the company and progressed their career into Management positions.
In 2010, the company was recognised for the quality of its Apprenticeship scheme by being announced the winner in the Medium Employers category of the SQA Modern Apprenticeship Awards.
